BREEZE cycling for women

The new BREEZE cycling for women Campaign recently held a promotion day with a local bike shop "Off the Rock" cycles in Wallasey, Wirral.

Breeze champions from the Wirral area attended and promoted the campaign and about 100 people from across the Wirral attended through the day.

There was plenty of information for ladies to see and hear about  BREEZE and Sara Braidwood did "check your bike and get it ready for summer" demonstrations throughout the day.

A charity raffle was held in aid of "Wheels for All" - a cycling project based in Warrington to help get equipment for disabled cyclists.

New contacts were made throughout the day and ladies were really keen to find out more about BREEZE and local rides for ladies in their area.

Local Labour representative Bernie Mooney attended as Maria Eagle was unavailable. British Cycling has recently welcomed Maria Eagle the Shadow Secretary of State for Transport's commitment to put cycling at the heart of all transport policy with the announcement of a package of measures to promote cycling and increase the safety of cyclists
